Heinz Haunold comes from Vöcklabruck in
Upper Austria and studied at the Mozarteum with Prof.Zehetmair
and subsequently with Prof.Rostal (Bern) and Prof.Suk (Vienna).
As a soloist, he has performed in Korea,Canada,Mexico and Brazil.
Between 19981 and 19484, he was leader of the Vienna Chamber
Orchestra
and since 1983 Heinz Haunold has led the Bruckner Orchestra Linz.
The Anton Bruckner Quartet was founded by the leaders of the four string sections of the Bruckner Orchetra Linz in 1986 and played its debut concert in the Brucknerhaus, Linz-on-the Danube,Austria in 1987.

Since 1988 the quality of its music has been regularly
recognized by invitations to participate in the International
Bruckner Festival and Upper Austrian Stiftskonzerte.
The quartet has also undertaken concert tours in
Germany,Switzerland,Slovenia,Croatia,Czech Republic,
Belgium,France,Japan and other countries.Several CDs are
available .
